30 Sep Superdry Partners With Reliance Brands Limited To Enter The Indian Retail Market
The British famous fashion and lifestyle brand, Superdry plans to expand its roots in the Indian Retail Market. They’ve already opened their first outlet in Guwahati as a first step in Eastern India.
The brand has partnered with Reliance Brands Limited, a part of the Reliance Industries which has 21 outlets across the country. Manu Sharma, Business Head, Reliance Brands Limited, said, “We are expanding in India. From 21 outlets we want to grow to 28 to 29 outlets by this fiscal year.” He further added, “We have opened a retail outlet in Guwahati and this is our first footprint in Eastern India. We are keen on opening outlets in Kolkata and Ahmedabad.” By this, he refers to opening outlets in tie up with Sundry.
“We are likely to open new stores in the major cities of India such as New Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Chennai and Hyderabad this year”, says the representative of Sundry. The brand has already built a strong following among the Indian youth, especially with their iconic T-shirts which are a must-have in the wardrobe in the country.
The British brand offers T-shirts, joggers, rugby shirts, jeans, sweaters, shirts, tops, polo shirts, bags, accessories and lowers for both men and women. Internationally, Sundry has stores across USA, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America.
